We drive everything everywhere - for each food order we place or package we order, it takes miles and manpower to get to us. But what if there was a simpler, more sustainable solution? Pipedream Labs has created a technology that’s the closest to teleportation we’ll ever get.
Small, electric robots could make near-instant delivery possible, and for a much lower cost and environmental impact than current methods. Utilizing underground tunnels, the robots would drop your delivery into a dedicated box in your home.
The company’s idea to build a network of tubes would allow direct delivery right into your home, for far less time and money than even Prime 2-day shipping.

19:12 I just finished my senior design project on innovative recyclable packaging to replace foam and other non recyclable forms of packaging. The solution my design group and I came to was to use crumpled paper, their are alot of different levels of crumpled paper and many modern packaging products that are essentially just uniformly crumpled paper. My design group settled on using Uline 18 ply cellulose wadding to replace bubble wrap, and paperplus formed paper cushioning to replace foam. We have yet to perform physical testing but according to our technical caluations our proposed packaging should provide just as much protection at a very similar cost (about 15% higher per pound of product).

In addition, the use of purely paper makes the design compostable as well as recyclable.

really need to run a small amount of fiber optics in the same tube. access to fiber is a limiting factor in a number of industries, and could help defray cost of tunneling.

I think it represses your natural ability to deal with stress and emotions. At least in my experiance with the gum i always felt slightly more stress trapped in myself. If i wanted to fully relax i had to have at least a piece of gum within the hour. I feel like that somehow traps stress or a mental process instead of consistently feeling like you can handle things you kinda feel slightly ansy. Its extremely subtle at first. Idk maybe im just a fein.

Whoever decided to air this video and greenlit its production clearly doesn’t understand how expensive it is to produce lab grown meat, to that person you are ignoring the fact that meat that is grown in a lab is nearly 200 times more expensive to produce

I love me some big frame glasses, but those are a little too thick for my (and probably most people's) preference.

  • @oldandtiredshouldberetired3436

It is not environmentally sound or safe to manufacture lab grown meat, nor is it less expensive. The stringent safety protocols and testing, as well as the massive amounts of chemicals required make lab grown meat a poor alternative that would endanger mankind. However it still has its place, the reason it should have been invented and that is in military, intel use. This is a product for remote, secret, bases, and complex wartime theaters to provide a continuous supply of high quality protien without constant deliveries which would make it obvious. Also to support remote installations where getting supplies is challenging due to extreme weather. But this lab grown meat should be banned from commercial use.

This doesn't really make sense, obviously the benefits of having analog computers monitor a factor would, in theory, reduce the energy required over time, but how does it really work? How can an analog system efficiently and quickly wake a digital system from a super low energy state?

She didn’t change much as just joined gardens together and signed up for this cult with communistic vibe. She didn’t address the main problem of “American dream”, which is density. She just created a little interest club, but still in suburbs, still with everything at car distance. You don’t need to invent bicycle. Go classic, Create denser urban fabric, 3-5 storey, business on the ground level, residential on the top, narrow streets, use every piece of land available, for parks, squares, playground, gardens, combine narrow spaces with releases of open spaces, cosy courtyards. Have spaces for businesses everywhere. 15 min concept, with cars left outside.
